Color finds such wonderful expression in glass! Having been involved in a variety of color-filled handcrafting endeavors, it was love at first sight when I spotted fused dichroic coated glass in a beading magazine. I am now a hopeless kiln addict and the intricate landscapes and vivid colors of hot glass are just part of the attraction. The challenge is in transforming a "hard" sharp surface into a soft, smooth piece of art to hold and behold. Every day offers new opportunity to manipulate the layers of glass to achieve different effects.

My goal is to form classic shapes that are treasured for the "small worlds" that are caught within the glass and continue to invite inspection years later. (My repeat customers are a joy!)

Sand Storms Glass is created in my rural Michigan studio. I work hard but not truly alone. My husband is a "roadie" and technical advisor. Our son helps as asked. Friends are consultants and booth assistants. The cats are constant companions. These are exciting times!
